Minority report

by the director using a medium close up, it allows us (the audience) to see the seriousness of the police and their facial expressions.it shows enough background for us to see other police in the background so we understand there is a large group of officers to show they have a important case to solve. by this shot being a medium close up it allows the audience to see the officers mean business and are going to go after someone. the juxtaposition of the first clip showing tom cruise running in a different direction of these men mean they are meant to capture tom cruise.

this picture is a long shot as it shows plenty of background and we can see action going on in the photo. due to the angle of this shot we can see the scene is taking place in a warehouse and that there may be two rivals there to sort out dodgy business. it always enough space for us to see a man from head to toe in the background and clearly shows a large car in the photo. i reckon the editor did this in order to create a action feel to the audience as perhaps a big fight will happen.

the editor chose a medium close up here but has put a focus on the character. this can show that he is playing a main role in this scene and perhaps is someone important in the film. the medium close up allows us to see some background so the audience can see that the man is somewhere quite dark and unusual. the angle is aimed more at the mans face therefore the editor wants us to see his expression.
